Busy Rooms banks $1.3m investment for putting heads into beds

Malta based hotel software provider combines software and services.

Busy Rooms today announced the completion of a $1.3 million Series A round backed by Smart Investors Group and Booking & Co. The funds will be used to enhance its core technology and expand services into APAC and the Americas.

Busy Rooms offers hotels, apartments, B&B and other accommodation providers a central platform for managing electronic room sales. Companies participating in the service are able to completely outsource electronic distribution. Busy Rooms can handle contracting as well as loading and updating online travel agencies, the GDS, meta-search engines, hotel websites, as well as other distribution outlets. Accommodation providers have the luxury of only needing to maintain one system and one contract. This provides ultimate control while enjoying hassle-free distribution and placement over a large distribution network.

The ability to offer dynamic packaging of hotel rooms or apartments with flights and local attractions makes the service also attractive for smaller online travel agencies, corporate bookers as well as DMO’s as a basis for their website offerings.

For online distribution channels (e.g. online travel agencies), Busy Rooms provides a-la-carte supply selection services with depth and breadth of search criteria and content. That allows for integration of optimal supply for regions where demand cannot be met with self contracted supply. Due to accommodation providers updating all outlets centrally and Busy Rooms monitoring production, demand partners have access to competitive rates and availability, hassle free.

Following last month’s C-level management appointments, Busy Rooms has now also appointed Casey Davy as VP Sales Americas and Prashant Menon as VP Sales APAC. Both come from the channel management industry and will provide significant expertise to the management team.
